BioStar 2 integrated into Milestone XProtect

Suprema, represented by EasySecure, announces that the open security platform BioStar 2 can now be integrated into XProtect from Milestone. This makes it possible to extend XProtect with access control and time registration based on biometrics.

BioStar 2 is a web-based, open and integrated security platform with extensive possibilities for access management and time registration. With the corresponding software development kit, Suprema's biometric terminals can be made compatible with third-party systems.

Application Program Interfaces are also being developed for this purpose. This allows third-party products to be connected to BioStar 2. The Suprema platform now works with the Professional, Professional+, Expert and Corporate versions of XProtect. Thanks to the integration, it is possible, among other things, to receive instant images in case of incidents, such as when someone tries to open a door, but the fingerprint is not recognised.
