NLdigital is the branch association of the digital sector. With members from all segments of the sector, NLdigital represents the interests of the sector.

The members are active in all layers of the digital economy: infrastructure, telecom, hardware, software and service provision. The association looks after the interests of the sector as a whole, from SMEs to multinationals. NLDigital is committed to creating an optimal business climate for companies that shape the digital economy, lobbies to remove bottlenecks and supports member companies in areas such as privacy, standardisation and compliance.

An example of this is the Data Pro Code developed by NLdigital and obtained by EasySecure. This is a concrete translation of the GDPR for processors of personal data. The code is developed by NLdigital but the certificate is granted by an external auditor.

The Authority for the Protection of Personal Data (AP) has approved the Data Pro Code. This is a code of conduct which organisations in the ICT sector can join. Many of the members of NLdigital act for their clients as processors of personal data. The Data Pro Code is intended to demonstrate compliance with the obligations of the General Data Protection Regulation (gpdr).

Another example of standardisation and compliancy from NLdigital are the standard general terms and conditions for IT companies. The NLDigital Terms and Conditions are the basis for a good agreement. They are a collection of rules which help to distribute responsibilities and risks. The conditions are widely applicable and connect to the GDPR.

This was also the reason for us to review our own general terms and conditions at the beginning of 2021. As an ICT supplier, it is important to make good agreements with our clients. EasySecure has therefore chosen to use the general terms and conditions of the sector association as standard.

An important change in the general terms and conditions is the provision for price indexation. From 01-01-2022, we will also apply this on the basis of the annually determined inflation correction from the CBS.
